Apple Bests Wall Street Again, 61.2 Million iPhones Sold Last Quarter

As is usually the case at the start of a year, there was plenty of uncertainty surrounding Apple heading into the company's first quarter results. Of course, there wasn't really but after a record crushing fourth period of 2014 we have been treated to analyst predictions such as the Samsung Galaxy S6 eating into iPhone sales, profits possibly falling, and even that the Apple Watch would not strike a chord with consumers.

American carrier AT&T starting rolling out its upgrade for the Alpha a couple of weeks ago, and now the device is getting the newest full Android build in South Korea too. Nokia to Make Smartphones in 2016

Since Microsoft purchased Nokia's Lumia smartphone division in a multi-billion dollar buyout last year, we have heard mixed messages about whether Nokia would ever build mobile devices again. The company hinted at one stage that it would leave the smartphone market behind, although a tablet along the way showed that the Finnish giant still harbours hardware aspirations.
