However, the extent of Cupertino's success is still providing stunning statistics, with the latest numbers coming from Good Technology. The company?s Mobility Index Report for the fourth quarter of 2014 shows that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were the runaway smartphone leaders throughout the period.

Huawei Bringing Honor 4X to India

Huawei has announced that the Honor 4X budget smartphone is to be launched in India. The handset was launched back in December as a Chinese exclusive, but following compatriot Xiaomi, Huawei has decided to roll out the device in India too. Chinese companies are aggressively targeting India this year and are making headway in the next major smartphone market.

AT&T Updating Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to Android Lollipop

AT&T started rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop to the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, the newer versions that removes "Interruptions" too. While it is fully expected that Samsung's newest phablet flagship is getting the latest version of Android, the fact the Galaxy Note 3 is also receiving Lollipop today is a little more surprising.

US Cellular will Carry LG G Flex 2 from This Week

The LG G Flex 2 has been out in the wild for a couple of months and is available in the United States through Sprint. However, the Now Network's exclusive hold on the curved screen smartphone is coming to end though as US Cellular has announced that it will start selling the G Flex 2 as well. The carrier will begin selling the device March 26 (Thursday) and will even undercut Sprint on price.

Apple Patent Adds Zoom Lens to Camera Module

While Apple uses a relatively small 8 megapixel camera on its iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, but the shooter is among the best smartphone snappers on the market. The company takes the photography side of its handset seriously and is taking things a step further with a new patent. Apple applied for and was awarded a patent for a new type of mobile camera technology that would add a zoom lens to the module.
