Huawei Schedules April 15th London Event for P8 Flagship Launch

Chinese company Huawei has sent us an invite for a London press event that will take place on April 15th, where the new P8 flagship smartphone will reportedly be launched. The event will kick off at 3pm Greenwich local time and is interesting because a London launch could mean that Huawei will focus the P8 on foreign markets as well as its Chinese homeland.

HTC One M9 Hitting Americas April 10th

HTC held an even yesterday and the company's Americas president, Jason Mackenzie, detailed when the One M9 flagship will be launching in the United States, and indeed all of North and South America. He revealed that the handset will be rolling out on April 10th, meaning only three more weeks to wait for consumers in those regions who want to get their hands on the One M9.

Motorola is one of the best companies if you want the latest version of Android on your device quickly. The company has already updated most of its modern portfolio, but surprisingly the Motorola DROID Turbo is still sitting on KitKat. That's a surprise because the handset was the last Motorola launched before the Moto E this month, the Verizon exclusive with blockbuster specs landed in November last year.

HTC Not Happy with AT&T One M9 Android Updates

AT&T is behind its carrier rivals in the United States in terms of upgrading the HTC One M8 to the latest versions of Android. The network only brought Android 4.4.4 KitKat to the handset in January, months after Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon. While those networks are now looking to an upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop, it seems AT&T is still lagging behind, and it is something HTC is aware of.

Apple Working on Augmented Reality

The argument about Apple's innovation (or lack of) in recent years will rage on; some think introducing 64-bit processing to smartphones, or adding a fingerprint scanner are signs of innovation, while others are looking for something more substantial. If you are in that latter group, you may be more convinced by Apple working on augmented reality, that's according to Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster.
