Galaxy Mega 2 coming to AT&T this week

While the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is the phablet device getting all the attention, the company rolled out another large screened smartphone last month, the Galaxy Mega 2. The device landed as a little bit of a disappointment as it is not much of an improvement over the original Galaxy Mega, and it looks like being an expensive phone considering its humble specs.

HTC's presence in important emerging markets is hardly big, especially in China where the brand is nothing more than a bit part player. However, while China is increasingly a closed shop, India (another country with a billion plus population) is still a market of opportunity and there is time for HTC to grow a presence. Launching three of its best smartphones in the country this week cannot be a bad thing if the company hopes to be a hit in India.

Microsoft smartwatch ready for launch

Microsoft's arrival in the wearable market has been rumoured for some time and now that just about every mobile rival has at least detailed its plans, now seems as good a time as any. We have seen several reports regarding a Redmond built smartwatch, but the general consensus seems to be that it will not really be a smartwatch, but a fitness band instead.

There is often an argument by Apple fans that the company they love has this massive success (it does) and on a device per device basis it destroys anything on Android in terms of sales (it does). Apple to record massive revenue increase for Q4

Apple had a bumper third quarter as the company saw iPhone sales best analyst predictions, while Mac sales increased too. The result was a massive period, one that is traditionally Cupertino's slowest as customers await new products launching in the fall. The company?s fiscal Q4 (third quarter on the calendar) is typically a big period as new products start to take hold, and analysts are predicting good things for Apple's upcoming earnings call.

Sprint HTC One M7 gets new security update

HTC has a huge update around the corner for its 2013 One M7 smartphone with news that Android 5.0 Lollipop will be landing on the device within the next 90 days. However, before that happens the Sprint variant of the all-metal handset is getting a rather more minor bump, a mere sweeping of the boards according to the US carrier.
