Motorola has launched its new wearables the Moto 360 (2015) and the Moto 360 Sport, and once again the company is vying to offer the smartwatch that most people want. Only the Apple Watch enjoyed more hype than Motorola's original Moto 360, so much is expected from the sequel to what was the round faced wearable of choice for many. For the most part the 360 (2015) and the Sport succeed on building on the original, but they are also hampered by the same pitfalls as all smartwatches.

Sony Xperia Z5 Compact, Small but Powerful

While Sony has impressed with Xperia Z5 Premium and the normal Xperia Z flagships are always good, it is arguably Sony?s Compact range that is most interesting. This series of devices is Sony's answer to the mini flagship trend, except that the Xperia Z5 Compact and its predecessors are full flagship quality and not some watered down rips offs (here's looking at you LG, Samsung, and HTC).

The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium wowed us with its 4K screen, but the normal Xperia Z5 is where Sony wants the most attention, it is this device that will serve as the flagship for the company and is the one that Sony wants consumers to consider alongside the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and upcoming Apple iPhone 6s. If the Z5 Premium is Sony showing off, the Xperia Z5 is its revenue driver.

Wow, Sony has just dropped a huge surprise at IFA here in Berlin as the company became the first to announce a smartphone with 4K screen technology. That panel can be found on the Xperia Z5 Premium, the new ultra-flagship that is a step above the normal Xperia Z5, which was also announced at the event.

ASUS ZenWatch 2 is an Affordable Step Above Original

While more and more companies are making smartwatches with round faces, such as Samsung's Gear S2 that arrived this week, ASUS has decided to stick with a rectangular design for its ZenWatch 2. The wearable was revealed by the company during its IFA live event, and considering the original ZenWatch was aesthetically pleasing, we are not entirely disappointed to see rectangle faces come back.

Sony Poster Reveals Three Xperia Z5 Variants

A leaked poster shows that Sony is beefing up its Xperia Z flagship range with three new smartphones. Over the last few years the Z flagship has been accompanied by a Compact version, and again that will be the case with the Xperia Z5. So we know a Z5 Compact will land alongside the Xperia Z5 proper at IFA this week, but this poster reveals there will also be an Xperia Z5 Premium launched.
