Samsung is coming off the back of a terrible 2014 and the pressure is most definitely on for the South Korean giant. Yes, the company is still the largest smartphone maker in the world, but increasingly its market share is being infringed upon by major rivals such as Apple, Xiaomi, and LG. Worse, this decline is happening in key markets while those rivals appear to be going from strength to strength.With that in mind, the upcoming Galaxy S6 is pivotal and that?s where we?ll start.

Sony Could Sell Smartphone Division

Sony has been going through a torrid time financially over recent years and the company has taken drastic action to try to stem the losses. For example, the Japanese giant sold headquarter property around the world, laid off tens of thousands of workers, and even sold its VAIO PC division. However, it has still not worked and once again there are reports that Sony may be forced to sell its smartphone division.

Sony Xperia Z3 Getting Android Lollipop in Coming Weeks

A lot of flagship smartphones are already updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop, while others are receiving their upgrade in the coming weeks. Sony has been pretty quiet regarding when the Xperia Z3 will receive the latest and greatest of Google's software. The company confirmed when Android launched that the Z3 would get it, but since then nothing has happened. That looks as though it will change pretty soon though.

HTC Prepping High End Butterfly 3

HTC's upcoming One M9 flagship is grabbing all the headlines at the moment, but the Taiwanese company has plenty of other smartphones in the works too, such as a new Butterfly. While the One series is the bona fide flagship from HTC, the Butterfly devices have proved to be competent attempts at high end smartphones themselves. The company is now planning the Butterfly 3 according to tipster @Upleaks.
